Holiday multi-stop travel guide

The holidays should be a time of cheer and elation, but for some with multiple families to visit over the holidays and less than bags of cash to spare, I️t can lead to a multitude of stress. If you’re like me, you’ve got parents, step parents and potential/already official parents in law. So, with the preparation of spending money on flights in mind and the inevitable variation of weather, one must keep prepped and ready! This year, I traveled from my home base of Los Angeles, to the grueling arctic weather of Wisconsin (-15 degrees F, thank you very much), all the way to my parents home in sunny Tampa, Florida, all the while, traveling with one large backpack, (thank you Spirit Airlines… I’ll be keeping my extra $40).

My travel essentials (Keeping in mind that I’ll be traveling for New Years and Christmas):

  • 2 pairs of travel leggings or comfy pants (One for the plane and one for leisure)
  • 1 pair of athletic pants, 1 athletic top
  • shoe of choice for the plane, tennis shoes
  • 2 pairs of jeans in varied colors
  • 2 sweaters
  • 2 tank tops (for warm weather or for under sweaters
  • 1 Long sleeved/shorts romper for going out or indoor festivities
  • 2 sports bras/ underbits (thats more personal)
  • 1 makeup back with essentials

And a giant insulated jacket to carry throughout the airport. (Can also be used as blanket or travel pillow)

This will be the second year in a row of this type of travel, but I’ve got it down to a science with essentials. I️t takes some practice, but once you own I️t, the $$$ you save becomes apparent very quickly!

Happy holidays!
